Frequently Asked Questions about Academic Boosters

1. What are the Academic Boosters?
Academic Boosters are individuals dedicated to creating the best possible academic environment for our students. The combined efforts of dedicated teachers and administrators, motivated students, and concerned involved parents, make a crucial difference. We do this through fund-raising efforts (an annual campaign), as well as supporting PSAT/SAT/ACT practice tests, study skills programs, Honor Roll reward program and College Night.

2. Why would I join?
It's fun! You'll meet new people with similar interests while making a difference in your students' high school success. Also, there's a flexible time commitment. You can put in as much/as little time as you wish. We welcome ALL commitment levels.

3. What could I do?
Help us brainstorm at meetings, stuff envelopes at "work parties" (It's fun, there's FOOD!), help at College Night, Honor Roll Awards Night, Registration, proctor practice PSAT/SAT/ACT exams...there's something for everyone!

4. When are the meetings, and do I have to attend them to be a member?
Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month (with a few exceptions - see meeting schedule) at 9:00 am in the Career Center. You do not need to attend every meeting to belong and be helpful, just come to a meeting and introduce yourself, we'll help you take it from there!
