Fire Under My Feet- Spring Dance Show!

April 18, 19, 20 at 7pm in the Al Gentile Theater   


Come see our Spring Show, Fire Under My Feet. It will be held in the Al Gentile Theater on campus on April 18, 19, and 20 at 7:00 PM.  We sold out all shows in the fall, so be sure to get your tickets early. All dance classes from Dance 1-Dance 5 will be performing.



New this spring, get your tickets online at www.tututix.com/montevistadance and select the reserved or general admission seat of your choice. Tickets go on sale Tuesday, April 10th at 7:00 AM.

Reserved Seats: $15 (Preferred center section)

General Admission: $10 (Back and Side seating)



No need to go to the store before the show. Let us keep your flowers in water right up to the show. Get fresh flowers for your favorite dancer at the show and support the Monte Vista Dance program. Single, 3, and 6 wrapped roses can be purchased for $3, $8, and $15 each. Large mixed bouquets will be also be available this spring for $18. All flowers have custom Monte Vista Dance decorations and a place for a personal message. Cash only. All proceeds go directly to Monte Vista Dance.



Get a keepsake copy of the show on a custom Monte Vista Dance flash drive. Drives are $15 and will be delivered to dance class within 1 month after the show. Orders can be placed by credit card on the Monte Vista High School webstore under ‘Additional Items and Events’ or with cash at the show.  All proceeds go directly to Monte Vista Dance.


Dance Tryouts for 2018-19

For those interested in taking Dance at Monte Vista:

  • Dance offers either PE or Fine Arts credit.  *** However, 9th graders must still take PE 9, so Freshmen taking dance will receive Fine Art credit.  
  • Dance 1 is a basic Introduction to Dance, for which any 9-12th grade student can register.  No dance experience is required.
  • Dance 2-5 are more advanced classes that require a prerequisite class, or an audition.
    • For incoming 9th graders who may have a background in dance, or would like to participate in a more intermediate or advanced level, they can choose to audition.  
  • Auditions for returning sophomores-seniors will be conducted after our Spring Show.
  • Freshman 2018-19 auditions have been completed. Please contact Anne Connors, Director of MV Dance if you missed auditions and are interested in taking dance.
