Prerequisite: Pass Computer 1 or competency exam demonstrating application and computer operations skills or an introductory computer course.
This course focuses on telecommunications through the Internet. Students will learn to do data and file searches, file transfers, database, lookups, and use Lynx, Mosaic, Netscape to search the Worldwide Web. Publishing pro-jects will be centered around the students' research needs for other classes. Students will also learn to use the Unix operating system and program for the Internet using HTML.
