JAVA PROGRAMMING

Semester
Prerequisite: Pass an introductory computer course or the competency exam demonstrating application and computer operation skills.
Students will learn to develop algorithms and computer programming in the JAVA language. This beginning level course will stress logic and analytical thinking skills. Students will learn to use the Linux and Windows operating systems. Projects will include work with HTML and the Internet. JAVA is the language the Advanced Placement classes will use in the year 2003-2004. This class is recommended for the college bound student planning on a business, math, or science major, or for the student preparing for the Ad-vanced Placement computer science classes.
