This course will include a strong emphasis on writing and discussion skills that analyzes the literary elements (plot, setting, theme, etc.) by using the film media. Students will learn vocabulary specific to the film industry along with the origins and history of film. Propaganda films, advertising and its effect on the public will also be examined. Viewing films and analyzing them through writing and discussion is an integral part of the course, along with instilling an appreciation of great films and the technical support that is so important to thes e films’ success.
