Chinese 1
U.C. and State University Certified Semester Fall 9-12. This beginning Chinese course emphasizes pronunciation drills, senetence pattern analysis and development of launguage skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Character reading and writing are introduced. Extensive utilization of cultural material and information. This is a DVC course taught on our campus. Note: Ten credits per semester.

Chinese 2
Chinese 2 U.C. and State University Certified Semester Spring 9-12. This course is the continuation of Chinese I. Further acquisition of launguage skills in listening, speaking, and reading, and writing will be emphasized. Students will gain proficiency in understanding and speaking Mandarin in everyday situations. This is a DVC course taught on our campus. Note: Ten credits per semester.

Chinese 3
U.C. and State University Certified Semester Fall 9-12. Prerequisite: Chinese I & II. This course is the continuation of Chinese I & II with a review of grammer and further development of reading and writing skills in Mandarin. Passages from Chinese literatue and reading on Chinese culture will be studied. This is a DVC course taught on our campus. Note: Ten credits per semester.

U.C. and State University Certified Semester 10-12. Prerequisite: Chinese 1, 2, & 3.
