» Course Sequence

Incoming freshmen can begin with either Earth Science or Biology, if the prerequisites are met. (See the course description for Biology for more information.) High-achieving students seeking a more in-depth study of biology should consider Accelerated Research Biology. After freshman year, students can take Biology or Chemistry in their Sophomore year, and for those seeking a stronger foundation in science, Honors Chemistry. After Chemistry, if a student is more interested in physical science, he or she may take Physics (or Honors Physics), AP Chemistry, and/or Geology. Those who prefer life science may take Anatomy and Physiology (or Honors Anatomy Physiology), AP Biology, or ROP Sports Medicine.

Least rigorous course sequence (to meet graduation requirements):
Conceptual Science (10/11) --> Life Science (11/12)

An example of a rigorous course sequence:
Accelerated Biology (9) --> Honors Chemistry (10) --> AP Chemistry/Biology (11) --> Honors Physics (12)
