Prerequisites: B in Honors Chemistry and consent of instructor.
The Advanced Placement Chemistry course is designed to be the equivalent of the general chemistry course usually taken during the first college year. Emphasis is given to the theoretical aspects of chemistry, chemical calculations and laboratory exercises. Topics such as the structure of matter, kinetic theory of gases, chemical equilibria, chemical kinetics, and the basic concepts of thermodynamics are presented in considerable depth.
