Prerequisite: Completed Biology and Algebra with a "C" or better.

Kinesiology is an interdisciplinary course integrating topics and standards from biology, physics, physiology, anatomy, exercise physiology, health, and medicine to provide a broad overview of the structure and function of the human musculodkeletal system. Laboratory activities and clinical experience emphasize applications in sports performance and sports injury. Students are expected to develop a thorough understanding of the structure and function of the musculoskeletal system which will serve as a platform for the comprehension of performance enhancement, biomechanical norms and hazards, physiological response to injury, and an introduction to the principles of injury prevention, recognition, treatment, and rehabilitation.
