PARKING PERMITS: Hello Students! Good News! There are a limited number of Carpool and General Student parking permits available. Permits will be granted through a lottery process. Cost of permit is $150. Please see guidelines below.
Carpool
If you have a general parking permit and would like to switch to a carpool parking permit, you must download a carpool application form from the school website.
If you are requesting a carpool permit (not switching from general), same as above applies.
General Parking
New applicants for general parking permits, please go to the MVHS website and download the parking permit application.
Please fill out and return application to Mrs. Farrell in the bookkeeper’s office NO LATER than Friday, September 8th at 4PM. All new completed applications must be submitted with payment ($150). This item is not available on the webstore. No exceptions!
Course Changes: The last day to request a course change is Friday, September 1st. Students must meet with their counselor to pick up a course change form by Friday, September 1st. The signed course change forms are then due back to the office by brunch on Tuesday, September 5th. Forms will not be accepted after Tuesday, September 5th.
SIGN UP TODAY TO SAVE LIVES: Want to save three lives? On Thursday September 7th, the American Red Cross Club will be holding their first blood drive of the year in the small gym. NEWS REWIND
DO YOU GET ALL THE NEWS FROM MV? At any time the daily bulletin and other news items can be accessed on the MV homepage. Please contact Jodi McFarland if you have any problems receiving the news. jmcfarland@srvusd.net
Do you receive daily bulletins? School Loop sends out daily grade updates and bulletins. To make this choice sign in to school loop and select it under your settings tab in the upper right corner. When you do receive the daily news you still need to click on the bulletin link to read it.
Do you receive weekly bulletins? On Monday’s the bulletin is also sent out by the messenger program. Some parents prefer to receive it only weekly so that program works better for them. This choice is sometimes not received if you have at one time blocked emails from MV. It is corrected by contacting the district communication office.
Attention Seniors! Your fall senior panoramic photo and picnic will be on Monday, September 11th. If you purchased a senior gold card, this trip and the photo are included. If you did not purchase a senior gold card and still wish to attend, you can purchase the Waterworld trip and panoramic photo through the webstore through August 31st. Permission slips are due to Ms. Watson in the counseling office by Thursday, August 31st. If you still need a permission slip you can get one from Ms. Watson in the counseling office.

JAPANESE CLASS ARTWORK:
Students in the MVHS Japanese program have designed posters to promote their classes. They are currently on display in front of Room 407. BTSN parent visitors to RM 407 have voted for the BTSN Japanese Program Parents Choice Award.
FALL PARENT MEETINGS WITH SUPERINTENDENT
Join Superintendent Rick Schmitt in a conversation about District priorities and future initiatives. The discussions will focus on expanding opportunities and flexibility for students, families and staff, improving student wellness, enhancing staff working conditions and ensuring that each student, employee and family feels safe and respected.
The meetings will be held at middle schools on the dates and times below. Please attend whichever meeting is most convenient for you.

Dads on Campus:
Speaker series with discussion as more than 50 Dads meet as scheduled. Series topics are selected to support Dads and their teenage students. Coordinator is Ryan Meineke ryan.meineke@yahool.com
Parent Teacher Student Association
Parents meet routinely to support MV campus, staff and activities. Volunteers coordinate programs such as Parent Education and After School Tutoring. President is Janet Nunan. Next meeting: September 8 at 10:30 in Conference Room
School Site Council
Elected participation by Parents, Teachers, Student and Staff help direct funding to MV programs. The current board positions are filled. Coordinator is Kristine Sexton. Next meeting is September 21 at 3:30 in WSC 118.
Coffee with Kevin
Monthly coffee scheduled 8:30am in 118 including presentations by students, faculty departments and time for Q&A with Administration. No RSVP needed. The next Coffee is September 20th at 8:30am in WSC 118.
Academic Boosters
Fundraising for classroom teachers keeps our class sizes lower and offers more choices to our students. This group meets monthly to direct funds and plan fundraisers. The next meeting is September 13th at 10am in WSC 118.

Fundraising for all Mustang Sports Teams to pay for additional services, support for our teams.
