Please join the MV Counseling Team 3/6 at 6:30 in Theater for an informative night of presentations on post high school options.  Students and Parents are invited Tuesday, March 6th at 6:30pm in the Theater. We will be discussing pertinent information as follows:

  • Understanding the SRVUSD Transcripts
  • Naviance- Family Connection
  • Preparing You for Post High School Options with Courses, Sports, and Activities
  • Course Selection Process and Overview of New Course Offerings
  • College Requirements for UC/CSU/Private and Out of State Schools
  • Standardized Testing – What they take when
  • NEW District Personalized Learning Options


Forensic Science isn’t just for seniors any more.  All Forensic Science classes are a “D lab” science.  New course offerings:

  • Forensic science Honors
  • Forensic science year 2
  • Along with regular Forensic Science

Are you interested in a lab science class where you learn how to analyze crime scenes and take your results to court?  Come to an informational meeting at lunch Friday March 2, or Wednesday March 7, or see Ms. Gilcrist in room 303 for more information.


MV Men’s Lacrosse Fundraiser  Eat at On Fire Pizza on March 1 and support Men’s Lacrosse! 10% of proceeds will be donated all day. 


Attention Juniors, Junior Prom is here!  CLICK HERE for tickets.  Junior Prom will be held on Saturday, March 24th from 7:00 – 11:00 pm at the Scottish Rites Center on Lake Merritt in Oakland.  Tickets will go on sale Thursday, March 1st for $90 each for ONE DAY ONLY!!  Then starting on Friday, March 2nd – Sunday, March 18th tickets will be sold online for $105 each.  The LAST day to purchase tickets will be on Monday, March 19th for $115 each and can only be purchased through the bookkeepers window.  Tickets can be purchased online through the webstore and at lunch through the bookkeepers window while available.  Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable so be sure you plan on attending prom before you purchase your tickets!  You must have your ticket and current student ID card for admittance to the prom.  ALL junior prom ticket and contract information will be given out to juniors the week of February 26th





MV Athletic Boosters Scholarship – Award Program   Attention Graduating Seniors: Did you participate in Monte Vista athletics?  Are you looking for some cash to help pay for college next year?  Or, are you planning to join the U.S. Military after graduation? Then you may be eligible for the Monte Vista Athletic Boosters Scholarship-Award Program.   Rules, eligibility guidelines, and the application form may be found on the MV Athletic Boosters website (http://mvathleticboosters.org/mvab-scholarship/).  Applications are being accepted now and must be received no later than March 29, 2018.  In the meantime, if you have any questions, please contact Bill Bloore at ub21359@yahoo.com.
