Hey Mustangs join SEWA!  Come to room 406 next Tuesday during lunch for a club meeting!  We are a non profit international volunteer group that helps people in crisis. Hope to see you there. If you have any questions you can ask our officers, Forensic Science informational meeting at lunch Wednesday March 7.   Come hear about Forensic Science or how about the Honors class or the year 2 class?  Are you interested in a “D” level lab science class where you learn how to analyze crime scenes and take your results to court?  Come to the meeting or see Mrs Gilcrist in 303

 

AP PSYCHOLOGY:  Info meeting Thursday, March 8th in 207 at lunch.  Mr. Bowling is looking for Juniors and Seniors interested in taking the course next year.

CURE SMA WEEK March 5-9  Join us to help find a cure for Spinal Muscular Atrophy, the disease that our fellow ‘Stang Danny McHale has. Look around campus for facts about SMA and stop by the flagpole at lunch to participate in wheelchair races, pet service dogs, and buy Cure SMA long sleeve shirts! On Friday, March 9th be sure to wear your Cure SMA shirt or purple and orange!

March Imagineering at MVHS: MV 9th graders – take an afternoon Imagineering Class at MV to have fun with Coding.  The classes are also open to 7-9 graders to help bridge the transition to MV.  Use discount code Welcome2HS at registration and receive a $25 discount. These classes are also great for 9th graders who are considering their options for next year electives.

NEWS REWIND

Attention Juniors, Junior Prom is here!  CLICK HERE for tickets.  Junior Prom will be held on Saturday, March 24th from 7:00 – 11:00 pm at the Scottish Rites Center on Lake Merritt in Oakland.  Friday, March 2nd – Sunday, March 18th tickets will be sold online for $105 each.  The LAST day to purchase tickets will be on Monday, March 19th for $115 each and can only be purchased through the bookkeepers window.  Tickets can be purchased online through the webstore and at lunch through the bookkeepers window while available.  Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable so be sure you plan on attending prom before you purchase your tickets!  You must have your ticket and current student ID card for admittance to the prom.  ALL junior prom ticket and contract information will be given out to juniors the week of February 26th

 

 

MV Athletic Boosters Scholarship – Award Program   Attention Graduating Seniors: Did you participate in Monte Vista athletics?  Are you looking for some cash to help pay for college next year?  Or, are you planning to join the U.S. Military after graduation? Then you may be eligible for the Monte Vista Athletic Boosters Scholarship-Award Program.   Rules, eligibility guidelines, and the application form may be found on the MV Athletic Boosters website (http://mvathleticboosters.org/mvab-scholarship/).  Applications are being accepted now and must be received no later than March 29, 2018.  In the meantime, if you have any questions, please contact Bill Bloore at ub21359@yahoo.com.
