Incoming 9th Grade Night March 5th

Monday, March 5th from 5:15-7:10pm

 

Agenda

  • - Check-in, student folder pick up and optional campus tours by the MVHS flagpole (weather permitting).
    • tours run between 5:15-5:45pm
    • Allow extra time for parking. Sessions start promptly at 6pm.
    • Due to space constraints, please attend sessions with your alphabet break-out group.
  • -Three concurrent sessions focusing on the following:
    • -Counseling Presentation addresses course selection, graduation requirements as well as the academic, social and emotional transition to high school.
    • Large Gym-Dr. Kevin Ahern hosts a presentation on Student Life, which includes performances and a student panel.
    • -Informational Fair with booths featuring programs, special classes, organizations related to 9th grade students and parents.

    • AVID students and their parents in the MVHS Drama room from 4:30-5:15pm.

    • Application packets will be available at the Incoming 9thGrade Night in the Commons and will be sent to the middle schools too. The packets are due March 30th to Jen Schikora in the MVHS Counseling office and students can sign up at MVHS Counseling office for an interview date after spring break.

    • New student enrollment information is located on the school district website:www.srvusd.k12.ca.us, click on “Enroll Your Child” and follow the directions.  Enrollment for 2018-19 opens on March 1st, 2018. Call the MVHS Registrar, Sarah Sirota, for an appointment (925-552-2816).
