The 2018-19 MVHS School Profile is available to print out.  

Monte Vista High School is a comprehensive, four time State Distinguished, fully WASC accredited, National Blue Ribbon, 9-12 public school. The school is located in the town of Danville, In the San Ramon valley, and Approximately 35 miles east of San Francisco. The community consists of primarily professional and upper management residents.


The student enrollment includes 64% Caucasian, 17% Asian, 8% Hispanic, 0.9% African American, and <11% all others, including native American, Cambodian, Guamanian, and Pacific Islander.

 Reduction of high school graduation required credits from 240 to 220.

 Ability to place non-district coursework on the SRVUSD transcript to satisfy high school graduation requirements (maximum of 20 credits in any curricular area; maximum of 20 credits/academic year).

 Ability to place non-district elective coursework on the SRVUSD transcript (maximum of 20 credits/academic year).

Option to take five, six, or seven classes on campus (individual site restrictions may apply). Honors Courses Total Honors Courses = 7
